Never leave children unattended in the tub or shower. Not to answer the phone, not to get the door, not for a second.

Never place a heater, radio, hair dryer, curling iron. or any other electric appliance near the bath or shower, where they could fall in and electrocute someone.

Stay with a curling iron when in use to ensure that it doesn't fall over and start a fire, or give a child a burn.

Place a safety matt in the tub or shower, to avoid slips and falls.

Watch that puddle of water by the tub or shower. Kids especially kick up lots of water, so have a bath matt and towel outside the tub or shower, to soak up the spill.

Don't store cleaning products under the sink, or anywhere that children can reach and ingest them.

Check your water heater's temperature. It should be set for 50 degrees C / 120 degrees F to avoid scalds.

When preparing a bath or shower, put on the cold water first to avoid being scalded.
